5/3/2012 Today Is A Sad, Sad Day :-(

We have received some pretty devastating news early this morning

I don't know what else to say REBELS, except, I'm sorry. Please don't let this stop you from supporting the guys in everything they do. For years now, they have given us so much. They all deserve our heartfelt sympathy along with open arms. They are our brothers and deserve nothing less!

Thank YOU, REBELS, for becoming such a huge part of my life. I now have many more members in my family because of Revis. You guys are such a great group of people. And to top it all off...you have impeccable taste in music :-) I love you guys and hope we can all, in some way, keep in touch. Keep playing it and playing it LOUD!!! REVIS ROCKS....always!

3/25/2012 Tell Us Why!

With all the negativity I've seen surrounding the delayed release of the sophomore album via Facebook and emails, I thought I would try to stir the pot with some positivity.   Instead of, 'Where's the album?' or 'why no updates?', let's hear why the release of the sophomore album is so important to you. I mean, c'mon! Are you more responsive when you've been praised, or when you've been criticized? Just sayin'! Go to the REVIS ROOM and find the board titled, Tell Us Why.

12/24/2011'Twas The Rebel's Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the land
Rebels everywhere, dreamed of their band
Their posters were hung by the speakers with care
In hopes that their stereos would soon have a reason to blare

When out in the front, I heard such a clatter
I busted my ass to see what was the matter
I ran to the window, to see what was there
And what I saw out there, straightened my hair

What to my wondering eyes did appear
But, an old Chevy Blazer, not eight tiny reindeer
With a tall driver, with such a long mane
And in the seat next to him, I spied Dave

The third one was ready, with guitar in hand
And sitting right next to him was the fourth of the band
More rapid than eagles the foursome they came
And they whistled and shouted and called me by name

'Hey, Rebel, come on down here, we're gonna jam
Go check in the fridge and bring us some ham
And a few cold beers, now that would be cool
Better move fast and wipe off that drool!'

And then in twinkling, I heard in the den
The crunchin' and bangin' of tuning within
I came back from the fridge with the beers and the ham
And sat my ass down to watch 'em all jam

All hell broke loose and the music was loud
And I sat there alone feeling oh very proud
Dave was bangin' like a madman possessed
And I really considered my sorry ass blessed

Justin was a singin' pushin' his lungs to the max
Kyle was ragin' man, that's the facts
Then Robert opened up with a huge freakin' lead
The sweat on my forehead's beginning to bead

As I sat there and watched them, I started to wonder
If I was dreaming and what I heard was thunder?
They couldn't be here at my house Christmas Eve
I'm sure they all had other plans up their sleeves

Revis coming and playing for me?
Had I been that good? Man, this couldn't be
The music was loud as the guys roared on
After a couple of hours they said that was all
And thanked me and told me they'd had a ball

I couldn't believe that all this was real
As they started to leave I said, 'Man, what's the deal?'
They went on to explain that they had to put the pedal to the metal
And come round to play to all good Revis Rebels

I watched them pull out in that old Chevy Blazer
As I turned and smiled to all of my neighbors
But, I heard them shout as they drove out of sight
'Merry Christmas, Rebel, and to all a good night'

11/23/2011 Happy Thanksgiving, REBELS!

Since Thanksgiving is tomorrow, I wanted to take a minute to give thanks to the guys and all of the Rebels out there! You all have changed my life! With the creation of this site, meeting many of you in Carbondale, the late night texts and phone conversations, you have given me a new group of friends that I now consider to be family! My REBEL family!! Much love to all of you!! Have a safe and happy turkey day!! :-)

10/31/2011 Little Rebel Needs Our Help!

Hey REBELS!! We have a young REBEL amongst us that needs our help. Miller (such a cool name), the nephew of one of our biggest REBELS, Mena Michelle, suffered a concussion Saturday night. He is now at home with his big sister, but it could take 3 weeks for him to fully recover. Let's show some compassion for this little guy, who by the way is no longer afraid of rain because of 'Caught In The Rain'. The power of prayer is a mighty thing!!! Let's rally together and help this little guy out!!!

10/14/2011 Let's Get This Ball Rolling, REBELS!!!

What's going on REBELS?!?! Now that summer is over, it's time for all of us to get off our asses and start spreading the gospel that is REVIS!!!! I want you all to do me a BIG favor...if you don't mind. Pop in Places For Breathing, go to track #7, Re Use, and listen tentatively. Now, at the 3:18 mark until the end of the tune, close your eyes, listen and imagine. Do you hear ALL the instruments? Do you feel it?? Do you?? Yep! I thought you did!! Do you know what that is? That is your SOUL!! Don't be alarmed!!! It's perfectly normal to be moved by something so powerful!! That's what Revis and their art is all about!! Placing something so special & so deep into each and every one of our hearts and souls!! With that said, let's get to it REBELS!!! Share your spiritual movement with others!! Due to unacceptable deal terms presented to us in connection with the planned release of "Do We Have To Beg?" on May 20th, we the band have no other option than to abandon those recordings. ;-( We are in the process of re-recording all songs so we can get the album released as soon as possible! 'To our friends, we can't thank you enough for your support in regards to the delay of our new record. It's been a speed bump, but we will know more about the release of Do We Have to Beg as time moves forward. In the meantime, we are releasing the song Fire and Ice as a thank you for your loyalty and understanding of the time we had to take.'

"We are very sad to announce that the album release will be pushed back to an unknown date at this very moment. We would love to let you all know why this is the case but can not due to legal reasons! We want to thank everybody for their strong support over all these years and also want to assure you that Revis is working on getting this music out there as soon as all issues are resolved. I will say this again REBELS!! This is when they truly need our support!! Do everything in your power to spread the word. The music is still out there and NEEDS TO BE HEARD!!! If you see some negative content from another fan, try to bring them around. Give them words of encouragement! My simple words of encouragement go a little something like this:

'To our AWESOME friends & fans… Due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, we have had to cancel our “Turnstyle Tour” scheduled for May/June. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused the loyal fans and clubs who have ALWAYS supported us.
